I was on the outskirts of the city around 4-5kms away on 23rd Jan'21, when the display/dash went off @6pm on Belgaum - Goa highway. (Video taken while riding at very low speed, not safe though)
I stopped near a petrol bunk on the roadside to check whats wrong with the display. The scooter locked after a brief inactivity (15 secs or so), handle locked out and to my surprise the display refused to come up to unlock and ride the scooter back home.
I was stranded! Called up Ola tech team for assistance, they said they can't unlock the scooter remotely (should have been able to, considering the fact that it has eSim and can be controlled remotely). They arranged RSA to pick up the vehicle (It was to come anyways after 2-3 days to fix the initial issue with Panel gaps and other minor things).
It started raining (my bad day) and the winds were getting colder (around 10-12 degrees at that time).
Towing vehicle arrives at 10:30pm after waiting for almost 4hrs in grueling cold (It was a nightmare, bad shivering cold and I was not wearing protective clothing except the helmet ).
Here is the video
Problem was a known issue with the connector not being tightened properly at assembly line. Should have taken just 5 mins to resolve then and there if they had sent a technician!

As per 'heisenberg', the connectors exist below the headlight. There are two thinner cables running, they need to be tightened and that should resolve the display issues. It is recommended to have a toolbox with you, so you can check the connectors and support can help you remotely. If this ever happens to anyone.
