Preferably Pune or Mumbai owners
Name - e2o classic
Colour Sunshine Yellow
Around 54000 KMS.
August 2013 make. Warranty is over. But Mahindra still services it.
Range is around 90-100 km.
7th year service is complete no major issues. Some suspension tuning.
Battery is performing brilliantly. In 7th year I had detected a weak cell, after 3-4 days of testing and analysing data at service centre. I replaced the weak cell and now I can use as normal.
You just need to use the car everyday and charge every night. Once a week ensure you get the charge down to 25-30% and then charge overnight. That also is a good practice which enables the IEMS (Battery management system) to balance the cell voltages of the battery pack.
Also twice a year, you need to go to service centre to boost and floor charge cells of the pack.
The battery pack will last for 3-4 years easily or more. The manufacturer claims 2000 cycles of charge and discharge. According to the data, I have done 1000 odd cycles.
2020 Repairs Done
- Battery single weak cell change. Read more about this here in my 2013-2020 ownership blog
- Battery Capacity Check.
- Annual Service complete. Replaced one single tyre and door latch assembly. Tuned suspension.
2019 Repairs Done
- Replaced Gear shift
- New Wiper
- Wheel alignment
- Battery Capacity Check
- Onboard Charger repaired.
Future possible maintenance in Coming Years
- Need to do battery capacity check twice a year (Rs 2000)
- Need to change tyres after 10k Km.
- Individual cells might get weak and need replacement. This wont happen if you follow good charging and driving habits. Read more here in this thread.
If these are done and used regularly, Im confident the car and battery will do well for next 3-4 years.
All the service people at Mahindra are very co-operative. Can furnish contacts at ME service.
Reason for Sale
I’m not driving much these days and would prefer someone who uses regularly and can benefit from an electric car. Also I'm moving to lower carbon means of transport : eBike, eScooter
Also i wanted to add the total maintenance cost i have spent since 2013 is around Rs 75,000
This kind of amount is just unheard of in the Petrol car world.
I have seen people spend more than Rs 30,000-70,000 on maintenance of petrol cars in just one year.
